1. General Rules

See → http://www.fom.be/contents/view/general-competition-rules

2. Competition Rules

  • Players are required to save all their tournament games. These replays will be used in problem situations. If none of the players can deliver the replays, the match has to be replayed no matter what.
  • The last official patch will be used in the tournament. Be sure to update your client before packing at home.
  • If there is a discussion between both teams regarding the tournament, at least one representative of each team will have to come to the compo desk and explain the problem to the StarCraft 2 admins. They will decide what to do.
  • Every member of the team has to decide on a race; this will be their set race for the rest of the tournament.

2.3 Compo Rules:

Specified compo settings:

  • While playing a tournament game it is required to switch your status to “busy”. If you get caught with another status you’ll get a warning.

Map pool:

  • Avalanche
  • Crooked Maw
  • Crystal Pools
  • Isle of Slaughter
  • Katherine Square
  • Old Country
  • Preservation
  • Resupply Tanker

Disconnect / Leaves

  • In case of a player disconnecting, a rematch will be played, unless the admin can confirm that 1 team was ahead. In that case that team is ahead by 1 game. The admin has final call. If possible, the resume from replay function will be used.
  • If an observer disconnects in-game, both teams continue with their game. The tournament game has to be continued.
  • In case of problems regarding the internet, battle.net, a computer or monitor that game will have to be replayed.

Scheduling issues

  • You are allowed to play one Grand and one Normal compo. For example, if you want play in both StarCraft II 1v1 and 2v2, that is fine. If due to scheduling issues you have to play matches in both competitions, the 1v1 will take precedence over the 2v2 (so you'll have to forfeit your 2v2 match).

Cheating

  • When you get caught while cheating or hacking, in any form whatsoever, you’ll be disqualified from the tournament.

Other

  • Players are only allowed to pause a tournament game in case of hardware or connection problems. If a player pauses the game without a valid reason, he’ll get a warning.
  • Players are allowed to chat in a tournament game. They’ll have to do this in a proper way and do it with good sportsmanship. If a player offends another player, he’ll get a warning.
  • Players aren’t allowed to see their opponents monitor. If you get caught while doing this, in any form whatsoever, you’ll be disqualified from the tournament.
  • The team with the highest seed hosts the tournament game. When the game gets live streamed it will be hosted by a registered live streamer. He’ll invite both players.
  • Only compo admins and registered livestreamers can join a tournament game as an observer. If a player invites another observer in the game, he’ll get a warning.
  • In case of a tie (detected by StarCraft 2 in-game) or when both players agree on a tie situation) the tournament game has to be played again.
  • If a player gets 2 warnings he’ll be disqualified from the tournament. In this case, his opponent will get a free win. If this happens in a bracket match, that player will also advance to the next round.

Scheduling

  • You have 15 minutes after the designated starting time to show up for your match. If you are not there, then you lose the match.
  • The only exception is if there is a Bo3 (of BoX), then there is the 15 minutes grace period after which the score will be set to 1-0 for the team that is present. 15 minutes after that, there will be a loss given to the team if they still haven't showed up.

2.4 Compo Structure

Brackets: Double Elimination Best of 3.

Finals: Best of 5

Other: In case of a tie, we will look at individual map scores. If it still is a tie, a BO3 will be played between the tied teams.
