- General Information
- Tournament Overview
- Game Version Played: Fifa 2010
- Maximum Competitors: 64 teams of at least one member each
- Tournament Admins
- Tournament Registration
- Every team has to register on the website
- The official game is needed to register, if you don‟t have it, and have any inconvenience because of it versus a player with a legal version, you will lose by forfeit.
- Irc Channels
- The tournament largely relies on IRC to convey tournament updates so please ensure you have a copy installed. A client may be downloaded from here. At least one member of each team will be required to be in the following IRC channels at all times throughout the tournament. You can connect just by using ‘irc’ as the server.
- #fifa –All Fifa admins will be opped, so please direct your queries to these people. Please be patient for a reply as we may be either in a game or dealing with other issues and may be away from our desk.
- Tournament Format
- The tournament will be played using the Multiplayer gametype. The structure will be Group Stages of 4-6 teams, followed by Double Elimination. The group stage will consist of 2 matches. There for, draws are possible. During the elimination stage will be run by a best of three format. Both stages will require a winner for every match, whether it be by a final score after 90 minutes, a final score after extra time or a final score after penalties.
- (Team)Draws
- Draw results are permitted during the league stages of the tournament. During the elimination stage draws will not be permitted.
- You need to choose Bay Arena and Sunny weather. If you do not know how to do this, ask someone who does (admin).
- Teams are ranked by their ranking points. If two teams have an equal amount of points, the team who won the match between the two teams will go on. If that game was a draw, we will start looking at goals for-against. If all of this is still the same, a playoff match will be played to determine the winner.
- Ranking
- Clans receive 3 ranking points for a victory, 1 point for a draw and 0 ranking points for a loss in the group stages. At the end of the group stages.
- Match Rules
- Demos & Screenshots
- After every match, the player has to save his/her demo and make a screenshot in case of an argument. If you do not have any demo and/or screenshot, you will lose the match by forfeit in case of this argument. Trying to force a victory because your opponent didn‟t make a demo/screenshot after you lost fairly, will get you kicked out of the Tournament.
- Voice Communication
- Use of voice communication software is acceptable, either with the use of the in-game comms, or utilities such as Ventrillo, Teamspeak, Roger Wilco, Skype etc.
- Pausing
- Pausing will be allowed throughout the entire tournament, with the ingame function limiting this option to 3 pauses a game.
- Server Crashes
- If a server crashes, the match will continue from the point of crashing.
- 00-05 min: Full match
- 05-10 min: 85 minutes
- 10-15 min: 80 minutes
- 15-20 min: 75 minutes
- 20-25 min: 70 minutes
- ...
- 85-90 min: 5 minutes
- Should a player have a red card when the server crashes, the opponent will be awarded 1 goal. Abuse of this rule by forcing a server crash will result into a kick from the cup. This rule does not apply when the server crashes in the last 5 minutes of the game. It is recommended you turn on the “email-service” ingame, where you get an email after every match played.
- Match Starts
- A team must have all the members it intends to field in the server 5 minutes before the scheduled start time of the match. If a match is still in progress on your allocated server, await authorisation from an admin before joining the server.
- If any team fails to be in the server 15 minutes after the start of the match, the other team will be awarded a forfeit win.

- Teams and Players
- Only players registered for a team in the tournament may play for that team.
- Players registered for a team in the tournament may not play for any other team in the same tournament.

- All forms of cheating are strictly prohibited any player found to be cheating will forfeit the current match for their team and be removed.
- Programs
- All programs or files, be they changed game files or new files, that change the game or add to its functionality, or that interact with the game in any way, are strictly forbidden. Modified versions of the game's resource files are always forbidden, regardless of what they do. The use of any forbidden program or file by any team member during a match leads to a forfeit loss for that team, and may result in disqualification from the tournament.
- Programs that do not interact with the game in any way are allowed, even if they can be used and operated simultaneously with the game. Voice communication programs are examples of such programs.
- The only programs allowed are Lupus Patcher and SoccerBot.
- Forbidden Moves
- At kickoff, you have to play the ball back into your own half, before you start attacking. If someone should ignore this, and a goal comes out of it ( that includes a corner/free kick because of this move), the goal will be disallowed. Should someone do this forbidden move three (3) times in 1 match, he will lose by forfeit, as it will be seen as timeplay ( explained later).
- Trow-in: You are not in any case allowed to do a trow-in inside the box. Should you do this, and score, the goal will be dissalowed. Should someone do this forbidden move three (3) times in 1 match, he will lose by forfeit, as it will be seen as timeplay ( explained later). Should you on accident trow the ball into the box, you will have to play the ball back to your own half, before attacking.
- Longball: It is not allowed to play a longball from the first 75% of your own half to the last 75% of your opponent's half. A drawing can be found here.
- To be sure your opponent doesn't use longballs either, you should install SoccerBOT. This bot will registrer whenever your opponent is using a longball and will report this to the chatlog on IRC. Whenever a person is using a longball and scores right after, the goal will not count. When a person uses a longball MORE then 3 times during 1 match resulting in a goal, the match will result in a forfeit loss. You can download the bot here.
- It's strictly forbidden to switch the strikers for trying to intercept the opponents man-marking. Both players should be able to arrange the man-marking before the match starts, and man-marking must be allowed without switching the strikers during the game. If a player changes his tactic during a game, he must play the ball to the opponent for allowing him to adjust his man-marking. After that or if the tactic doesn't need to be changed the ball have to be given back to the opponent.
- The following corners are FORBIDDEN!
- A corner that hits the crossbar, and bounches back into the field
- A corner that hits the post, and bounches back into the field
- You are, however, allowed to curve to ball into the 6 yard box, and get a player to shoot/head it in. Protesting against forbidden corners, which resulted in a goal, are only processed if you sent a demo of the match to the admin in a match conflict.
- You are not allowed to score from your own half
- Should you have a player substituted, you have to kick the ball out for a trow-in, so your opponent can adjust his tactics. After he/she has done this, they will have to do the same, kicking the ball out for a trow-in. Should you ignore this rule, penalties may follow.
- Fair Play
- It is forbidden to insult, abuse or manhandle a player or an admin, or do damage to others property.
- Lack of fair play can lead to penalties.
- Maps
- BayArena, with Sunny weather
- Gear, drivers and configs
