ADJUSTED TOURNAMENT FORMAT.
Since we have only 5 participants we’re going to change the system a little bit. We’re gonna start off with a single group phase, with all players in group 1. We will then go into a single elimination bracket with seedings directly from the groups. This way we can still have some fun even with this unfortunate low attendence :)
UPDATE: Groups BO1, brackets BO3, finals BO5
SCHEDULING
Group phase has to be complete Saturday at 19.00. The brackets will then start, and it will have to be finished by Sunday 14.00 .
If there are issues or suggestions, don’t hesitate to contact me on BattleNet or at the compo desk.

The latest official patch will be used in the tournament. Be sure to update your client before packing at home.
If there is a discussion between both players regarding the tournament, you both will have to come to the compo desk and explain the problem to the StarCraft 2 admins. They will decide what to do.

Scores will be admitted through the Frag-o-Matic website (www.fom.be). If an admin is available scores can be submitted through them as well.
Before the match
Players must be online and available at the designated times of their match. A 15 minute grace period applies.
All players must show initiative to contact their opponent. If your opponent is not responding in-game, the seatmap must be used to physically contact your opponent. In case of an AFK, the admin must be notified.
While playing a tournament game it is required to switch your status to “busy”. If you get caught with another status you’ll get a warning.
The player with the highest ladder rank hosts the tournament game. When the game gets live streamed it will be hosted by a registered live streamer or an admin. They will invite both players.
The current ladder map pool will be used:
During the match
No unapproved programs may be running during any matches. Acceptable programs may be determined by an admin, but generally include: music, hardware monitoring, antivirus.
Players may not communicate with anyone during their game besides their opponent and admins.
The use of default skins for units is not mandatory.
In case of a tie (detected by StarCraft 2 in-game or when both players agree on a tie situation) a rematch will be played.
Pauses for issues not related to either connection or hardware are not allowed. Pausing the game without a valid reason will result in a warning.
Players are allowed to chat in a tournament game. They’ll have to do this in a proper way and do it with good sportsmanship. Inappropriate chatter will result in a warning.
After the match
Both players must submit and confirm the result of a match. This can be done on the website or through an admin.
Replays must be provided straight after the match by the winner and sent to the admin through email (duval@fom.be) . If a replay cannot be provided, a rematch will take place.
Each replay needs to be named correctly in the following format: [name player 1] vs [name player 2] - [stage name, like WB RO1] - [round number]. This way, the admins can organize them in an easier manner in case the admins need to take a look at them.
Scheduling issues
You are allowed to play one Grand and one Normal compo. For example, if you want play in both StarCraft II 1v1 and 2v2, that is fine. If due to scheduling issues you have to play matches in both competitions, the 1v1 will take precedence over the 2v2 (so you'll have to forfeit your 2v2 match).
You are allowed to play games ahead of schedule. However, if doing so results in delaying or messing up the schedule of another compo walkovers are the player’s own responsibility!
Disconnect / Leaves
In case of a player disconnecting the resume from replay function will be used, unless an admin can confirm that 1 player was severely ahead in which case a win will be awarded. If the resume from replay function cannot be used for any reason a rematch will be played.
In case of internet, battle.net or hardware issues the game can be paused. If after a pause the issue is not resolved, the game will be resumed from replay or a rematch will take place.
Cheating
Any form of cheating will not be tolerated. If an admin determines a player is cheating they will be immediately disqualified and removed from the tournament and may be restricted from participating in future events.
Seeing your opponents monitor is also considered cheating.
Collusion and Match Fixing: players are not allowed to intentionally alter the results of any match. If an admin determines matches were fixed, the offending player(s) will be immediately disqualified and removed from the tournament and may be restricted from participating in future events. Players must compete to the best of their abilities at all times (fair play!).
Observers
Compo admins and registered livestreamers can at all times request to join a tournament game. Other observers are only allowed when both players agree. Repeatedly inviting unwanted observers will result in a warning.
Observer who slow down the game or have connection issues must leave the game as soon as possible. Tournament games with observers leaving for whatever reason will not be replayed because of it.
Other
Players are allowed to change race after each map.
A player who received 2 warnings will be disqualified from the tournament. All unplayed matches of a disqualified player will be forfeited.
3. Compo Structure
Starting map: Veto started by highest seed, followed by loser’s pick.
Brackets: Double Elimination Best of 3. Players will be seeded based on their current rankings.
Upper Bracket Finals: Best of 5
Grand Finals: Best of 5 with 1-0 advantage for the player coming from the Upper Bracket
Other: In case of a tie, we will look at individual map scores. If it still is a tie, a BO3 will be played between the tied players.
