FoM Compo System

For the competitions during our events we're using our own competition system. This system allows us to open registrations in advance and to run various types of competitions.

Sign up

As soon as the competitions are opened, you or your team can sign up to participate.
Normally the registrations will close around midnight of the first evening of our event.

To signup for a competition, visit the section of the competition through our navigation: Tournaments > <<your compo>>. You can also sign up by visting this page.

For each type of registration you'll have to create a 'team', this means that both for 1v1 competitions as for e.g. 5v5 competitions, you'll need to create a team.
In competitions with multiple players in a team (e.g. a 5v5 compo), only 1 person (e.g. the team leader) should create the team. When he created a team, he then can assign people to his team by clicking the 'Add member button' on the configuration page of his team.
In the next step he has to search for the person he wants to add by searching based on the name, nickname or email of his teammate.
If the desired person does not show up in the least, this means that either the person isn't yet the owner of a ticket, or the person is already part of another team for the same competition.


You can always go back to the configuration page of your team by logging in on our website, and at the top hit the profile menu (next to your profile image), and select 'Compos', or use this link: www.fom.be/teams.

Make sure that your team is complete before the registration period ends, the compo admin may delete teams which are not complete!

Wars

To see which wars your team currently has to play, go to the configuration page of your team. At the bottom you have an overview of all the wars you have to play, the wars waiting for scores and the previous wars.

Open Wars

For these wars, no scores have been submitted yet.

Wars waiting for score confirmation

For these wars, someone of your team, or an opponent, already filled in a score.
If both teams fill in the same score, the score is automatically confirmed. If the submitted score by your team is different than the one provided by your opponent, the compo admin shall decide the final outcome.

Previous Wars

These are the wars which you team already played, and of which the scores are final.

Compo Types

Different types of compos are possible: poule system, bracket system, poules followed by a bracket system and optionally loser brackets, ...

The compo admin decides which types will be used.
