Like the previous editions for Frag-O-Matic there will be a team of people managing the gameservers during the event.
Every edition we try to make sure that at least the most popular games are available,  however this edition you can also request your gameserver in advance so you can use it during Frag-o-Matic. 

Requests can be made through through this form.

The requests are only valid if you paid your ticket for Frag-o-Matic.
After your ticket has been validated you'll receive the server details by E-mail.
Gameservers can not be requested on the event itself.

Voice server specialist InstantVchat.com offers free Teamspeak (2/3), Mumble and Ventrilo servers at FoM 12.1. During the event voice servers can be requested on a special Intranet site. (Free voice servers can be ordered only by FoM visitors which have already paid their FoM ticket!)

From our previous newsposts you already learned that Frag-o-Matic 12.1 will feature most likely the biggest 1v1 and 2v2 tournament in the Benelux this year, thanks to SteelSeries and the cash from our mysterious sponsor.

That should quite be enough to please the fans, right ?

As hardcore, to the bone Starcraft fans, we think it's NEVER enough. We'll have a number of special "fun" Starcraft events during the weekend, for which you should prepare as follows:

1. Find out as much as you can about Starcraft, the legacy, the colour of the lead designer's underpants, ... to win prizes in our grand Starcraft Quiz!

2. Make sure you are in the diamond league on friday night 24th of september (doesn't matter whether it's 1v1, 2v2, ...) because everyone knows diamonds are a girl's best friend.

3. Get your achievements maxed out! Where are you currently? 1000 points? 2000? maybe 3000? We'll make sure to bring honour to the biggest achiever at FoM.

Remember, Starcraft is not the best game. It's the ONLY game.

KaosTV will deliver live streaming & shoutcast coverage on Frag-o-Matic. This means that you will be able to see live images of the competitions on the beamers, and listen to live analysis & comments on shoutcast radio.

The live streaming/shoutcast will also be available on the internet, but then you'll miss out on the unique LANparty atmosphere ;-)

Kaos TV will be shoutcasting all CS1.6, CSS, and COD4 competitions. We will publish all shoutcasters soon as we are currently dangling around with all schedules and what not. Kaos TV will also assist Frag-O-Matic with all live material on the interal beamer network, just so all attendees at the LAN can enjoy the shoutcasts too ."

The last month towards FoM12.1 has begun, so it’s high time to start training.

There for, BE servers launches a special promotion.  When renting a game server you get a 20 slots voice server FOR FREE.

At Frag-o-Matic you have always the opportunity to bring your own sleeping gear (airbed, sleeping bag, pillow,…) but if you like more comfort then you can book a room at one of the nearby hotels.

The hotel, Het Brouwershuis, is located at walking distance from the event. For transport to and from the other hotels you'll have the possibility to call the Frag-o-Matic shuttle service. The FoM Stig will drive you to the event or back to the hotel in exchange for a small fee.

As well as the previous editions, you can bring along a clanservers. If you want to bring a gameserver, you'll have to send an email to servers@fom.be, before 23th of September with the subject: “clanserver” + clantag. 

The things you have to put in the mail are:

1. Description and specs (CPU, RAM, type of case, O/S, specific looks, ...)
2. The services (e.g. ET gameserver)
3. Contact: name + nickname + address + email + mobile phone number (in case of emergency)
4. FoM ID + Clan name

You then will receive a mail with the IP-settings for the server, so you can config it at home.
A few directives:

• Only 1 server per clan
• The servers will be placed at the crew area, NOT AT YOUR SEAT
• At the entrance there will be a list with the clanservers, if you are not on the list, you can't take your server in.Only the contact can pick up the server at the end of the LAN, we will ask for ID.
• Every server get a 10/100 mbit connection, this is more then sufficient for a gameserver.
• The server can NOT be used as a file or P2P server. If there is any doubt, we will remove the server from the network!. Gameserver, voicecomm, etc are allowed
• Be sure to have a sturdy, locked case and a good cooling. Every component should be fixed (no external hard disks or exotic casemods). FoM is not responsible for any damage that could occur to your server.
• Only the server + power cable + UTP cable is allowed, no screens or keyboards. You have to be able to configure your server remotely via SSH, VNC or something else.

FoM 12.1 will host the Belgian qualifier for the IeSF 2010 Grand Final. The winner and the runner-up of the qualifier win a trip to South-Korea.

The tournament in Korea will be held from October 28th until November 1st. Participants of the qualifier need to be available during this period and they also need to have a valid international passport. If that is not the case then the prize is not exchangable and will go to the next in line. Only players of the Belgian nationality can qualify. If non-Belgian players reach the top3 then they will receive a hardware prize from FoM, more info soon.

The disciplines of the qualifier are Warcraft 3 and Fifa 10.
During the actual tournament Warcraft 3 and Fifa online will be used.

The IeSF 2010 Grand Final is an international tournament of the International e-Sport Federation. BESF is one of the founding members of this organization.

The qualifier at FoM 12.1 will be organized in cooperation with Gamevibes.
