The following is a short explanation about the schedule using an example:

Game X is a team compo (5v5) and takes about 1h30min.

The format is Single Elimination.

Saturday:

Round 1: Starting at 10h

Round 2: Starting at 14h

Quarter Final: Starting at 20h

Sunday:

Semi Final: Starting at 10h

Final & 3rd place match: Starting at 14h

Rule 1: When your match is planned at 10h, you HAVE to play at 10h and not any time before or after that.

Rule 2: You'll get a 15 minute grace period at every compo (unless otherwise specified).

In those 15 minutes everyone has to connect to their respective servers and get ready. So the match should start at 10h15. When a team is not complete or does not show up at the given time, it will be disqualified.

→ When you notice that your team wont be up and running before 10h15 because of pc issues or any other valid reason, you will have to notify the admin of this fact. The admin might give you some extra time if it's a valid reason.

  • vstr binds (if these don't provide any advantage)
  • Skins are not allowed.
  • You may have custom configs as long as they don’t give you an unfair advantage over your oponents.

1.3.2 General rules in the match

  • The Schedule must be followed
  • Replacements may only be done during a time-out.
  • Each team may call in one time-out per side. So max 2 in a map.
  • Participants may only be in one team, switching between teams is not allowed.
  • Line-ups may be changed as long as none of the players are in two teams. You must let the admin know. The admin may always refuse the change. .
  • You must be available to play during the scheduled play times.
  • The team captain must contact the other team and arrange the match during the scheduled playtime. If the other team can’t play for some reason then you have to inform the admin and a noshow will be addressed.
  • Make sure your opponents cannot screenwatch. You may always ask the crew for a panel to place in between you and your opponents. Asking friends to stand behind you is also a good way to keep your opponents from looking at your screens. Don’t complain about this afterwards.
  • Bounce / Boosting / Bugs are not allowed! If done so you lose the round to your opponent.
  • If a match is interrupted by power cut or other problems then the match will continue after the problem has been resolved.
  • You must record every match, if this is not the case than your team will lose by forfeit.(If you didn’t record the first 3 rounds you won’t lose by forfeit)
  • On each map and each side you must make a screenshot of the score and this screenshot has to be kept during the whole event.
  • When switching sides you have a 5 min break and when switching map a 10 min break.
  • People may only come killspec if both teams agree to it.
  • If you must start playing and you only have 4 players in the servers then your fifth may join at any time .( if you are with less than 4 = noshow)
  • Respect your opponents at all time, when misbehaving you will be disqualified.
  • The team captains are responsible to inform the cod4 admin of the scores.

1.3.3 Conflicts

See general competition rules.

Again, Make sure your opponents cannot screenwatch. You may always ask the crew for a panel to place in between you and your opponents. Asking friends to stand behind you is also a good way to keep your opponents from looking at your screens. Don’t complain about this afterwards.

2. The tournament

There will also be a deadline for every match.

2.1 Group Stage

During group stage the matches will be played on one map (BO1) that will be decided by the admin.

You will play a knife round first, the winner of this knife round may decide what side to play first. (Shooting/nading/smoking = lose kniferound)

The first to get 13 rounds wins the match and achieves 3 points.
In case of a draw, both teams will achieve 1 point.
If you lose you won’t gain any points.

If there is a draw at the end of the group stage we will take the win/lose ratio of rounds into account. So always play your matches until the end, if you don’t, it might eventually make you lose the compo. When a team leaves a game, then the rest of the rounds will be awarded to the other team.

Based on the number of teams that signed up we will decide how many teams that can go to the upper brackets. This will be announced on the FoM website or at IRC during the event itself.

2.2 Upper/lower bracket

The upper/lower bracket system is going to be played on 3 maps (BO3).

E.g.: Knife round -> Loser picks map -> Winner picks map -> Loser bans map -> Winner bans map -> Remaining map is 3rd map

The first to get 2 maps wins the match and can go on to the next round of the bracket system.

  • In case of a draw you will play overtime (promod_mode match_mr3) until one of the two teams has 4 rounds. On overtime you will start at the sides you also started the map on.
  • If you lose you will be placed in the lower brackets. Losing in the lower bracket will unfortunately place you out of the tournament.

2.3 The finals

The matches of the Lower- and Upper bracket finals and the consulation final will be played on 3 maps (BO3). The goal is to win 2 maps. The maps will be chosen as in the example.

E.g.: coin toss -> Loser picks map -> Winner picks map -> Loser bans map -> Winner bans map -> Remaining map is 3rd map

Upper bracket finals will be played by the 2 teams that have gotten the furthest in the upper bracket.
The winner of this match will be placed to the Grand Final and gets a 1-0 advantage (Map).
The loser of this match will be placed to the Consulation Final

Lower bracket finals will be played by the two teams that have gotten the furthest into the lower brackets.
The winner of this match will be placed to the Consulation Final
The loser of this match will be 4th

Consulation final will be played by the loser of the UB final and the winner of the LB final.
The winner of this match will be placed to the Grand Final.
The loser of this match will be 3rd

In the Grand Final has the winner of the UB-final 1 map advantage. The winner of the Consulation final can choose the 1st map. The 2nd map will be choosen by the other team.

Grand Final will be played by the winner of the UB-final and the winner of the consulation final.
The winner of this match will be 1st.
The loser of this match will be 2nd
