A couple of editions ago, we started the concept of FoMCON, a small scale gaming venue that allows companies to showcase their newest games, gadgets, hardware and other PC equipment, and/or support competitions for their games. This edition is no different, as there will be a couple of companies present with cool activities and competitions!
This gaming venue takes place at the same time as our LAN event and visiting is free of charge.
The following is a small list of the attending partners, as well as some important dates such as the start of a couple of competitions and activities. In the coming days we will announce part 2 of our schedule with some more partners who attend FoMCON!
Electronic Arts is an international game developer and publisher of dozens of games. One of the biggest game companies will be present at Frag-o-Matic! You can find their booth next to the compo desk. The booth is divided in a gaming zone and a lounge zone. In the lounge zone you can relax in some comfortable seats and bean bags after your gaming sessions, or you can read through a couple of magazines.
In the gaming zone you can play several unreleased or just released titles:
- Need for Speed: Most Wanted: playable during the entire weekend
- FIFA13: playable on Saturday from 11h until 19h and on Sunday from 11h until 17h
- BF3: playable during the entire weekend
The game Medal of Honor: Warfighter will get a unique place on the stage between the Tones and Gamegear stands! This space will be turned into a real Medal of Honor-styled area. We are organizing an exclusive Benelux-first MoH-WF competition with 16 teams who battle for a limited edition of the game and tons of goodies! At the moment there is only 1 team spot left, so hurry up if you want to participate!
In the meanwhile, all FoM participants will get to play the game at various free playing periods.
Next to that,
Electronic Arts provides a huge amount of
goodies which we can divide as prizes for various fun competitions. EA is also the main sponsor for the EA Battlefield 3 competition with a nice prize bundle with a total worth of €2000!
SteelSeries has been supporting our event with great prizes for many years! Next to their sponsorship of more than €2000 worth of products they will have a booth next to Gamegear where you can test the newest Flux headsets. Next to this new assortment you will have the opportunity to view all the gaming products from SteelSeries. Next to that you can race with their new
SRW1-S1 racingwheel on the circuit of the famous Spa
Francorchamps.
In coöperation with
ASUS you will be able to view the newest
ASUS Transformer Pad! This powerful tablet kan be switched into a notebook thanks to the keyboard docking-system! The tablet is running on the world's first quad-core processor, the NVIDIA® Tegra® 3 4-Plus-1™! Maximum power garanteed!
Tones.be is a known Belgian PC shop that will be attending Frag-o-Matic again. Contrary to last time, they will scale back on the selling part of their presence on FoM, and they will instead
fully go for organizing lots of activities for our participants! You'll be able to test the new
3D Vision Surround on a couple of games, among other things.
Tones also provides 10 high-end PC's that will be used on Saturday to play the FIFA competition. On Sunday, these PC's will be moved to the main stage, and several game finals will be played on them.
Next to that, they have cooperated with EA to provide the MoH booth with 10 high-end army-styled PC's!
Gamegear.be is a known FoM partner who have worked with FoM for several years already. You'll be able to discover all the latest headsets, keyboards and mousepads!
You'll also be able to participate in the Xbox360 Mortal Kombat competition at the Gamegear booth, which has great prizes!

Paradox Interactive is a Swedish game developer and publisher who already have a couple of top game titles in their portfolio. During FoM the participants and visitors have a chance at winning one of the 40 PC keys for Steam, including Magicka, Crusader Kings II and many others!
The known magazines PC Magazine and Clickx will be available for all of our participants. You can find them on different locations across the hall like the entrance, EA Lounge, etc.
