Probably one of the most popular e-sport titles of this year must be League of Legends, which also gets a competition during Frag-o-Matic. This game was very popular during our last edition where many of our participants attended for League of Legends.
This competition gets a massive €2000 cash prize and a €3000 product sponsoring, which brings us to a total of €5000! After announcing our great prizepool of €20.000 value for this edition it's time to announce the partners who made this possible! We start with Kingston, a brand that doesn't need much of an introduction for many of you as they are famous for their SSD's, memory, and USB sticks.
Kingston is one of our main sponsors for this edition providing us with products with a total value of €1700! If you want to bring your own dedicated server to host gameservers or voiceservers to Frag-o-Matic 14.1, you'll have to fill in this document.
Afterwards you will recieve a email with the correct IP settings, so you can configure your server before the lan.
Like previous editions, we'll be hosting compo- and public-servers and we're giving you the possibility to request your free gameserver or voiceserver.

To request a gameserver: you may fill in this form if you have bought a ticket.

Behind the scenes here at FoM our crew has been very busy to provide our Boxing edition with an unseen prize pool! Counter-Strike Source: €1000 value (product)
Counter-Strike 1.6
After long thought and consideration, the FoM crew has decided to run Counter-Strike: GO as an official competition. The Counter-Strike Source compo will stay in the games pool with a prize pool that is still very attractive. The Counter-Strike 1.6 competition got cancelled. We chose for CS:GO because we wanted to support the newest addition to the Counter-Strike franchise to help it become a full-fledged e-sports game. Because 3 Counter-Strike team competitions require too much time, sponsoring,... we have decided to cut 1.6 from our competitions. Counter-Strike Source will still have a competition with a value of €1000.
Counter-Strike: GO can get a very nice cash sponsoring as well next to its product sponsoring, but that kind of depends on you guys! When we have 16 teams or less participating, we will supply the competition with €500 cash. With more than 24 teams, that gets bumped up to €750, and when we hit 32 teams we'll have a massive €1000 cash sponsoring, making it a total value of €4200!
We hope we can count on your support with this decision. We, as an organization, want to innovate in offering an impressive list of new competitions. The rulesbooks for all these competitions will be placed online in the next few days, registrations for the competitions start the 1st of September (except the CounterStrike: GO that will start earlier). The exact prizes for each competition will also be announced in the coming weeks on a compo-by-compo basis.

As usual a lot of people seem to be waiting until the very last moment to order their tickets (and often get to hear that all tickets are sold out). We strongly encourage participants to buy their tickets early, since we were sold out the previous 2 editions, we had to dissapoint a number of participants who didn't procurred their tickets in time.
Next to the organizational benefits for us, buying your tickets early also gives you some great advantages. For starters: the sooner you buy your tickets, the cheaper they are! If you buy your entrance tickets before September 1st you only pay €35.00 per ticket (after September 1st they'll cost €40.00 and at the entrance €50.00).
Like the previous edition we'll also be opening the registrations for the competitions before the start of Frag-o-Matic 14.1, meaning that only participants with an entrance ticket can register their teams for the competitions.
Ticket owners can also choose their favorite seat on our seatmap.
Not only buying your tickets timely is beneficial, ordering the tickets for your entire team is also something you should look at. Not only does this option gives you the certainty that every member of your team will have his entrance ticket, as the team manager, it also allows you to choose all the seats for your team (otherwise every member has to choose his seat individually).
On top of that we give a free food voucher per 5 grouptickets (valued at € 10.00).

Beyond this date participation is no longer possible. Teams that are not complete at the start of the compo wll be disqualified.

With 140 participants they succeeded in creating a great and pleasant atmosphere with multiple competitions and fun animation.

Participating in our events isn't just about PC gaming. The atmosphere, side activities also have a huge impact on our FoM events. Next to that we may not forget our special acts such as the notorious paincompo. This edition we take it to a next level with more than just one special act. Most of them we keep as a surprise although this one we are glad to share with you:
The seatmap for FoM 14.1 has been available for quite some time now, but starting from today, the seatmap reservations have opened as well!
Compared to the previous edition of Frag-o-Matic, a couple of changes have been made to the seatmap system, in an effort to have less free seats between clans. Previous edition we had to move quite some people in order to make sure that every participant could sit with his team.
Due to the adjustment in the seatmap system, ticket holders can only reserve seats next to a seat which is taken or at the beginning of a row. Teams wishing to get seats next to each other, should make sure that each member has his ticket before reserving seats on the seatmap, to make sure they can sit next to each other. We strongly suggest that per team, 1 person buys the tickets and assignes them to the players. This way the ticket buyer can reserve all the seats on the seatmap for his team next to each other.
Dear Fraggers, while awaiting the opening of our seatmap, we already have a nice surprise: COD:MW3 will be added to our official compo list.
We hope however that every clan can make the responsible choice which tournaments he wants to participate in. You can't join each compo due to a lack of time. So we suggest that each clan will carefully select its compo(s), and train to win!
We will however require that enough teams will sign up for the CoD: MW3 compo. Therefore we'll require that at least 12 teams will sign up. If this is not the case we'll organize a decent alternative.
In the very near future, the signups for the compo will be opened for ticket holders, as well as a range of other compos.
We look forward for a smooth progress of the competition.
As always, any input given by the community, will be taken under advisement by us.

Frag-o-Matic is looking for graphical talents (M/F)!
We’re looking for a passionate person that loves to create movies and/or other graphical content. You will have to take some time during the week to prepare content for an event. You will also have to make movies on-the-fly during the event.
Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Premiere is a must, if you do have any other related programs that you can use, feel free to put that in the reply!

As a member of Frag-o-Matic we often visit other lanparties, one a bit smaller, the other a bit larger such as now: DreamHack in Jönköping, Sweden.
We've driven around 1400km to get here.
Even now we're this far away from Belgium, we still walk into FoM participants (which is a nice thing).
If you're here too, bring us a visit in hall B on row 37.
Life as a participant is good. Sufficient food and beverages, rapid internet connection, lots of animations.
Every row of participants has two switches where everyone among them can plug in his/her own networkcable, such as on FoM.
Traffic from hall switches is then sent over an optical (fibre) link to three racks in the main hall, hall D.
The system works fine and that's good to know because DreamHack is sponsored by Telia, the largest ISP in Sweden!
During the event we reach 50Mbit down- and upstream with ease.
In Belgium we can only dream about this.
Half of hall B is dedicated to a game expo where hardware is sold and games are exhibited.
In hall D (main hall) artists perform and funcompo's are held at regular intervals.
It's quite logical for most of the participants to be seated here, participants who have a seat in other halls can watch the presentations on a bigscreen or through the livestream(s).
Then there's hall C where pro gamers get to show the best of their skills.
Furthermore there are two movie theaters, so called dreamarena's Orange and Extreme, finals are held in the latter.
DreamHack serves diverse livestreams on http://www.dreamhack.tv and there is a separate press area where gaming websites can update their webpage and write reviews.

Luckily a FoM is near, let's all get ready for it!
After some long discussions, we finally came to a consensus concerning the first version of the compo list for the upcoming edition of Frag-o-Matic. Please keep in mind that the list may still be subject of change, depending on sponsorship deals or requests coming from the competition. This may cause competitions to be added or modified.
The list above allows us to concentrate our efforts, prizing wise, towards the 3 important team and solo competitions. In addition to upcoming sponsorship deals, we can already confirm that (at least) €2000.00 cash will be divided amongst the winners, provided by Frag-o-Matic. The price pool per compo will be posted at a later date.
Subscribing for the compos will start in august.
During our last edition the participants could already try-out the game called Foreign Legion: Multi Massacre. The beta of this game has been recently added on Steam. Sakari Games gave us 50 bèta keys to share them with you!
If you want to have a chance at winning a key and you are into a cartoony bloodthirsty game then you can participate in multiple ways.

Critical Point: Incursion is a standalone game created by more than 30 volunteers with Epic Games' Unreal Development Kit.
It is a semi-realistic, arcade-like first-person shooter combining tactical gameplay with arcade-style speed.
Utilising a wide variety of modern weaponry and set in fantastically rendered locations, the Mercenaries and Special Forces meet at a critical point!
The game will have multiple new developed maps and weapons.
CP:I is aimed at a large player base, offering a huge platform for competitive clan and league play, allowing individuals to shine and capture their glory regardless of how many hours they have played. It accentuates skill vs luck, aiming vs spraying, etc.
We differ from the competition by having no unlockables, no RPG's, no claymores, no tanks, jets or other vehicles. No spotting of enemies, no gimmicks affecting reloading, no influence on aiming, and no movement hit penalties when shot!
Just PURE infantry combat action!!
If you love action-packed first person shooters with great community involvement, then Critical Point: Incursion is for you!
