Seatmap reservations will be opened for everyone on Wednesday, July 30th at 20h. If you already have a ticket, then you can make a seat reservation. (click on the "seats” icon on the right side of this web page, under "quick links")
Do this by clicking on a white square on the seat map. Squares with lines are locked. When you reserve a white square, the square next to it will be unlocked and becomes white. Your best friend or clanmate will then be able to reserve it and sit next to you. The squares with a “x” are disabled and will not be unlocked automatically. These are rows which will open only after a predefined number of tickets have been sold or which have been disabled for technical reasons.
Teams can always send a mail to seatmap@fom.be to reserve seats for the whole team. This is usefull for teams where everybody buys their own ticket through the webshop. If only 1 person buys tickets for the whole team, then he can reserve al the necessary seats through his account, this will save you a lot of time & effort. If you send a mail for assistance of an admin, please mention very clear the seat numbers and associated nick names (f.e. A1 - TheKiller, A2 - TheVictim). Admins can only reserve seats for valid tickets. Teams don't have to wait until the reservations are open. You can send a mail right now if you have >= 5 valid tickets.
If you have reserved a seat, please don't assume that this reservation is final. Admins can still give you a new seat. This is important near the end of the reservation period to make sure that random white squares come together to make room for extra teams. That’s why it is important that you select the right clan in your profile. Admins will always make sure that players of the same clan will be seated next to each other, and will not kick your reservation or change it to a random spot on the other side of the seatmap if you have the same clan in your profile as the people with seats next to you (or he would have to replace the whole team...). Every clan will have a separate colour on the seatmap. If you notice that the seat of your clan member has another colour, then please ask him to update his clan in his user profile.
For the few lucky bastards who have a VIP ticket: our VIP manager will contact you to select your seats. This is because the VIP manager can ask us to rearrange the table positions in the VIP area to make sure that teams can sit together in 1 “island”. Our VIP manager is always happy to be at your service (vip@fom.be) and will give you an extra big table and a comfortable chair with a super soft pillow :-)

This afternoon we heard the sad news that Thiery Declerck, age 38, passed away totally unexpected. He leaves his wife and kid behind.
Thiery was a member of the fom crew, more specific the networkteam. He was always very excited and motivated to help where it was necessary. No network problem was too much for him.

On Frag-o-Matic 16.0: Airborne we saw several people dressed for the occasion, so that's why we want to bring back the Costume Competition. We can't let the participants bring their best outfits and not give them the chance to shine on stage!

We heard that there is some confusion about the Early Bird tickets.
The Early Bird tickets have a limited stock. They are for sale until 31/7, as long as there is stock.
This was mentioned in the webshop, but was not clear enough in the newspost.
Starting from today (6th of July) we will be selling our famous VIP and early bird tickets. Our VIP tickets were sold out pretty quick after the opening, so if you want to attend FoM 16.1 as a VIP, don't hesitate too long to pay for your ticket! We provide a total of 25 VIP Tickets. Our early bird tickets will be available as well.
This edition will have different ticket types such as early bird tickets, regular and late entry. The faster you buy your ticket, the cheaper they will be! If you plan to come as a group (clan/team/...) we advise you that you buy your tickets as a group. This makes it easier to arrange seats next to each other and gives a certainty that every member of the team will have a ticket.

It’s almost summer, the perfect time to announce the date and the theme of Frag-o-Matic 16.1.
We like to welcome you to the 16.1 edition on 12, 13 and 14 September 2014 at the Oktoberhallen in Wieze.
With FoM 16.1 we will go back in time to the great Roman Empire. This edition we challenge the greatest gladiators of gaming to fight and show us who the best gamers of the Benelux are. Survive the arena, emerges victorious and take home the treasure!

At 19:00 hours it was time for the "Blow my ball" fun compo on Frag-o-Matic. The game consisted of a wooden maze. The contestants had blow a little ball tough the maze as fast as they could, the catch was they had to use a straw.

Also this time Awesome Retro returned to Frag-o-Matic. This time they had a pleasant surprise with a Themed fun compo with the game “Propellor Arena”.
Every elimination round 4 pilots did a dog fight, the survivors proceeded on the elimination ladder.
FUNC, Noctua and Coolink where so kind to sponsor this competition, the best pilots won some nice prizes.

Due to bad weather conditions we are cancelling our case throwing competition. However, we are starting a kicker competition with those prizes! However, as the case throwing was a 1v1 and the kicker 2v2 the winners will have to split the prizes.
In cooperation with 4Tech we are organising a case throwing competition. 4Tech provides us with a nice NZXT case as the main prize. FoM adds products from FUNC and Steelseries. The total value for this competition will be €380!

Today at 13:00 hours we started with the first FUN-Compo of the day. The so called “Fly n Stick” compo. For this compo Tt esports supplied us with some great prizes. The contestants had to stick on to a Velcro wall as long and creative as possible. A jury of 3 rated their performance on originality and duration.
Some of the contestants have been able to show of some amazing, acrobatic and funny moves. The winners of this competition are:

Last night it was finally happening: the opening show of Frag-o-Matic 16.0 started. After a spectacular countdown and opening movie, it was time to start the first activity: a “Balloon Drop”. A few hundred balloons were filled with lottery tickets and dropped from the ceiling; and of course they needed to be popped to get the tickets inside.
The Main act was announced and Patrick Pickart did his Hypnotism Act bringing some of our contestants in a deep trance (which at some points was pretty damn hilarious). The contestants were brought back to reality and it was time to give away some prizes from our sponsors Tesoro and Samsung.
To end our Friday evening, we held a fun compo with a game called “Looping Louie” which was sponsored by HyperX.

Structovan Outfitstore is the official distributor of the well known DX Racer chairs in Belgium. 3...2...1.. and we have a lift off. Before you start packing for FOM, we want to give some in-flight instructions.
Here is a checklist of what to bring to our event.
Lost your networkcable? No worries, at the helpdesk you can buy one.
You need food? At our restaurant 'Den Ownage' we provide the best gamerfood in the world. If you want to bring drinks, you can, but do not overdo it. We will not allow crates of drinks at the entrance.
This edition there will be a payterminal (Bancontact/Maestro/VISA/Mastercard) at the helpdesk where you can get drink and food coupons. At the bar the coupons will be also available but only cash.
Here is a good tip, start your favourite games the night before and make sure they are up to date. If everybody needs to update their games at friday at the same time, it is possible the internet gets slow. All networkports will be open. Our network works with a system based on netwerkpacket priority. So Internet, Steamgames, mmorpgs and other games are getting a higher priority on the netwerk than other games.
