Maybe you want to help us out as a volunteer?
Frag-o-Matic is constantly looking for volunteers to help organize our LAN parties!
The well known ones this year is the upcoming 16.0 edition in February and the 16.1 in September, but we also support smaller events if possible.
If you feel like doing awesome stuff for the LAN scene, do not doubt yourself and join our group. We have about 50 volunteers/crew members and we are divided in 14 specialized teams. If you become a member of the crew you will get to know a lot of new people, work together with nice people and learn a lot.

It would be nice if you can tell us in this e-mail for which team you would be applying: animation, video & sound, media, catering, compo's, gameservers, helpdesk, network, power, press, security, software development, sponsoring or VIP.

Awesome Retro will be returning to Frag-o-Matic this February!
We are glad to anounce that Awesome Retro is returning to FoM this February. They will have a large booth full of retro consoles and games where you can play all day / night long!
This month they are also looking for support, wich they call "Donation December". If you have any old consoles, games or other retro gaming gear lying around gathering dust, why nog give it a second life and donate it to Awesome Retro.

UPDATE: VIP TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT!
Starting from the 1st of December we will be selling our famous VIP and early bird tickets. Our VIP tickets were sold out pretty quick after the opening, so if you want to attend FoM 16.0 as a VIP, don't hesitate too long to pay for your ticket! We provide a total of 26 VIP Tickets. Our early bird tickets will be available as well.
VIP tickets can only be bought by PayPal. Once you place an order you have 24 hours to pay the tickets. If the payment is not completed within 24 hours the order will be cancelled. If you want to obtain VIP tickets as a group we advise you to have one person place the order for the whole group. Like always, we follow the principle of 'First come, first served'.
This edition will have different ticket types such as early bird tickets, regular and late entry. The sooner you buy your ticket, the cheaper they are! If you plan to come as a group (clan/team/...) we advise you that you buy your tickets as a group. This makes it easier to arrange seats next to each other and gives a certainty that every member of the team will have a ticket.

A few months ago we were fully submerged Underwater but during the weekend of the 28th of February - 2nd of March 2014 we will go full Airborne! Frag-o-Matic 16.0: Airborne will yet again take place in our cozy venue called the 'Oktoberhallen' at Wieze. We provide seats for a maximum of 1000 gamers! The ticket sale starts on the 1st of December both for Early Bird tickets (€30) and the VIP tickets (€75). A newspost dedicated to the ticket sale will be posted soon.

You might have noticed during FoM 15.1 that some of the crew were running around with camera equipment. FoM 15.1 was the start of one of our new projects called FoMTV. This edition was just a test edition where our media team was focusing on shooting as much footage of the event as they could. This FoMTV concept will become more and more important for our upcoming events!
The footage of the event is still being looked over and edited. We already have some results to share, and there's more to come!

Unfortunately, Frag-o-Matic 15.1: Underwater has come to an end. There was a lot going on both in front of the PC screens, but also next to them! Even though we can organize as many competitions as we want, the event would be nothing without the atmosphere that our loyal participants bring.
Next to that, a word of thanks is in place for all of our volunteers (more than 70 members) who helped prepare the event the past couple of months! Without them we wouldn't have any competitions, catering, cool live images & video, ... It's a big job to organize a kick-ass event time and time again.
Last but not least, our sponsors and logistics partners! Without them we wouldn't have prizes, an internet connection, a livestream, goodies and so much more!

Hello Legendary FoMmers,
By now, you have probably heard/noticed that the League of Legends (RIOT) servers are down.
Due to maintenance to fix some issues, league of legends won’t be available for at least 2 more hours.
This means that we had to make some difficult decisions.
Decisions made by the FoM compo admins (LoL & Head):
The schedule:
RO 16 & Quarter finals (bo1/bo3) – ASAP
Semifinals (bo3) – today (before 03:00)
Final (bo3) – 12:00
Lower brackets - depending on time (final must start at 12:00)
We are sorry we had to make these decisions.

FoM 15.1 LoL Head admin
As you all know LoL has been down for a while and will be for another 3 hours, untill 00:00.
There is nothing we can do about this since it's a problem with the Riot servers, not FOM.
Because of this there will be some serious time problems for our compo's.
Anyone playing in the 5v5 compo must give absolute priority to that compo! The 5v5 compo will not wait for you, not even for 5 minutes.
There will be a strict schedule for the 1v1 as well.

Dear Gamerz
To do not enough time and the fact that some teams are not finished with their timeschedule we need to close the poules at 21:00. All scores MUST be delivered to the compo desk against 21:30.
This means that the remaining matches will be counted draws!
We looked through the poules and it doesn't make a huge change in the points and who goes through to the brackets.
