In cooperation with Bluehole's Esport Division we are proud to announce that you will be able to participate in an official PUBG
competition during Frag-o-Matic 20.1.
We have made a provisional rulebook but we would like your feedback.
You should help us determine whether we should run a 4-man squad (as described in our provisional rulebook) or duo team gameplay.
Would you rather work together with a friend as a duo or lead a 4-man squad to victory?

To announce some more news, we’ll run the competition as a ”Normal” competition.
This means a maximum of 32 teams are allowed to enter and we’ll only provide hardware prizes for the winners.
In case of great interest or if a big sponsor signs up to add cash prizes this can still be adjusted.
Hopefully next year we can have this competition evolve to a “Grand” competition.
Saturday night or sunday (after our squad compo) we’ll run a PUBG solo “Fun” competition.
Are you ready to be the only survivor of one hundred players?

If some problems occur, we will gladly help you at the compo desk.
Due to the early success in the Tekken 7 tournament, we opened up an additional 16 spots. Because of this we start the competition an hour earlier & we set up an additional console.
All participants are expected at the Game-Inn booth at 11h45. The tournament will last at a maximum time of 15u30. Check the tournamentpage for additional info.

There are still a few tickets left if you would like to attend Frag-o-Matic this weekend. The price is €60 per ticket. However, you will have to be fast!
Once again this edition you can participate in our Retro Compo. The game for this Retro Compo edition will be Crash Team Racing on Playstation 1!
The retro compo will be seperated into 2 categories:
If you participate in any retro event or practise, you need to give an identity token (driver license, identity card) to the responsible head compo admin (Lenzo) or at the admin who is responsible when the head compo admin is not avaible.
After the release of a strong Battalion 1944, a game with kickbacks to the old COD4 mechanics, we wanted to organize a compo around this.
Together with Kayzr, we have this opportunity! The competition will run via the Kayzr website & servers, and is supported by FoM.

The CS:GO competition will have a new compo structure starting from FoM 20.0.
All teams participating in the CS:GO competition will, like it was in the past, start off in a group stage with 4 teams per group.
After the group stage there will be a new rule on how we split the teams:
Following the pool stage, the winner from each pool will advance to a pro bracket, the team in second place from each pool will advance to a semi-pro bracket and other teams will proceed to a fun bracket.
Our compo structure will use the following setup for pro, semi-pro and fun:
Why this change?
In the first place, we would like to make the CS:GO compo more competitive and still allow the less competitive teams to learn and have fun. Without having to be knocked out of the competition after the minimum of non-engaging matches.
The teams in the fun-bracket will not have any prices, equivalent to the other fun competitions at FoM. The winners will still receive the honor and fame associated with winning at FoM.
We hope to give the lower ranked teams the opportunity to stand out and learn through this change.
Of course we would like to stress that this change is the consequence of better teams purposely dropping to a more easy bracket, getting a simple prize-grab at the expense of others. The teams that wish to win prizes will have to fight for it.
We hope this change will have a positive effect on all teams competing in the CS:GO compo and everyone has fun at FoM 20.0
Warmup servers
To allow practicing nade throws or similar during the lan, we will (pending availability), provide warmup servers.
These will be marked as such in the server list, and can’t be used as war servers.
This new rule has been adjusted in our rulebook, which you can read here.
There’s also a new discord server (https://discord.gg/MbPY2ge) that will be used during the competition.

Seatmap reserverations were opened up for everyone since last weekend.
This means that for everyone that has a valid ticket for FoM 20.0, those participants can select a seat on our seatmap (click on the "seats" icon on the right side of this web page, under "quick links")
Do this by clicking on a white square on the seatmap. Squares with tilted lines are locked. When you reserve a white square, the square next to it will be unlocked and becomes white. Your best friend or clanmate will then be able to reserve it and sit next to you. The squares with a “x” are disabled and will not be unlocked automatically. These are seats which are reserved for participants with tickets, but no team lay-out on who wants to sit where.
Teams can still send an e-mail to seatmap@fom.be to reserve seats for their whole team.
This is usefull for teams where everybody buys their own ticket through the webshop, but anyone should not hesitate to email the seatmap admins when they require help.
If you send a mail for assistance of an admin, please mention very clear the seat numbers and associated nicknames.
Admins can only reserve seats for valid tickets.
If you have reserved a seat, please don't assume that this reservation is final. Admins can still give you a new seat.
This is important near the end of the reservation period to make sure that random white squares come together to make room for extra teams. That’s why it is important that you select the right clan in your profile.
Admins will always make sure that players of the same clan will be seated next to each other, and will not kick your reservation or change it to a random spot on the other side of the seatmap if you have the same clan in your profile as the people with seats next to you (or he would have to replace the whole team...). Every clan will have a separate colour on the seatmap. If you notice that the seat of your clan member has another colour, then please ask him to update his clan in his user profile.
The main reason why we would move a participant to a different seat is to make sure we have (almost) no empty seats on our seatmap.
Obviously to make sure we fill up every seat and to get everyone in a seat where they can sit together with their friend(s).
Our seatmap puzzle has to fit in the end, so displacement is sometimes unavoidable.
For the few lucky bastards who have a VIP ticket: our VIP manager will contact you to select your seats. This is because the VIP manager can ask us to rearrange the table positions in the VIP area to make sure that teams can sit together in 1 “island”. Our VIP manager is always happy to be at your service (his email address is vip@fom.be) and he will give you an extra big table and a comfortable chair with a super soft pillow :-)
